Cabernet Sauvignon ready for harvest

Located at 1,400-2,200 feet above sea level, Howell Mountain is the Napa Valley appellation with the highest elevation. Compared to the valley floor, this region experiences warmer summer temperatures and colder winters, which leads to an abbreviated growing season. As a result, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from this appellation develop thick skins, therefore robust tannins. With pronounced black fruit flavors, these wines are characteristically broad, dense and full-bodied.
